This event has been POSTPONED, new date TBA.
Join the Santa Clara Conservancy’s Director, Shawn Kelly, and UC Santa Barbara Research Associate, Evan Hobson, for a tour of the Cienega Springs Ecological Reserve. Within the Reserve, 234 acres of degraded river channel and floodplain are being restored to create a mosaic of wetland and riparian habitat. The habitat restoration is improving the site’s hydrology for surface water retention and groundwater recharge while providing wildlife-oriented recreational opportunities for the surrounding disadvantaged communities.
